    Tamara is a ministry leader, educator, PhD student, and theologian. She has served in education, business, and women’s ministry leadership for over 18 years, blending her love for people, pedagogy, and creative arts into serving and growing a variety of communities, including co-founding an anti-racism institute. She is a doctoral student of ethics, focusing on womanist theology, at Vrije Universiteit- Amsterdam in conjunction with the International Baptist Theological Studies Center. She holds a Master of Theology from Emory’s Candler School of Theology and a Master of Arts in Ministry Leadership from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary.

As a dedicated and detailed professional, Tamara has experience in organizational leadership, discipleship and spiritual formation, theological activism, curriculum creation, and in-person and online learning and community-building strategies. Possessing a strong commitment to women in ministry and seminary settings, and adult education and formation, Tamara engages creative and embodied strategies and initiatives to foster transformation. Tamara’s research interests lie at the intersection of womanist ethics and Hebrew Bible, with a particular emphasis on themes of gender equity, peace-building, image of God, and redemptive aesthetics.
